Static or Dynamic Website: which one is right for me?
A Static Website is very fast, very secure and needs almost no upkeep: I look after it, and small corrections such as a new phone number, opening hours or prices are free, just send them to me. A Dynamic Website gives you a simple editor so you can add pages and update your own words, photos, news or menu whenever you like.
Can we still talk?
Of course. Everything works without meetings, but if you would like a quick call or a chat over coffee in the Holme Valley, just ask.
How long does it take?
You see an estimate while you choose your website: Static Websites usually take one to two weeks, Dynamic Websites from two weeks, depending on the options you choose. The clock starts when I have your words and photos.
How do I pay?
Nothing is paid until we agree. Once we have talked your project over in The Greenhouse, you pay securely with PayPal or a card: in full, or in two parts with no extra cost on bigger projects (half to start, half before your site goes live).
What about my web address?
Every website comes with a free address like yourname.yela.uk. If you prefer your own .uk domain, I can register it in your name for a small yearly fee, or connect a domain you already own.
What happens after the first year?
Hosting is free for the first twelve months. After that it renews once a year at the price of the matching hosting plan, from £14.99 a year. Bigger changes or a full refresh are available at fixed prices from £29.
Can my site grow later?
Of course. You can add pages and features at any time, or move from a Static Website to a Dynamic Website. Sites, like gardens, are never really finished.
